We are running our one-day photography workshop twice!
Choose either Friday, September 25, 2020 or Sunday, September 27, 2020 both workshops are hosted in Canmore, Alberta.
In addition to the styled shoot on the day of your workshop, join us for a hike and shoot-along in the mountains surrounding Canmore on Saturday, September 26th!
We will bring models for an "adventurous elopement" style shoot and include a picnic meal for each hiker.
Space is limited to six participants so that we can spend extra time with each of you chatting about your business (on the hike) and coaching you through another shoot.
Create beautiful images for your portfolio amidst the mountain ranges and spend a day getting to know some other awesome photographers!
* Please note, while this hike is moderate in difficulty, participants will need to have the appropriate footwear, physical fitness and endurance required for a hike of roughly 5km on uneven terrain.
We expect the trip will take about seven hours from the time we leave Canmore until we arrive back in the town after sunset. The total hiking time should be approximately 3 hours.
In the event of inclement weather, refunds will be available for this add-on.
Hike and shoot-along is available to participants attending either the Friday or Sunday workshop.
The workshop lectures will be held in Canmore, Alberta at the amazing Fusebox Octagon Studio. Then after dinner, we will head out into the mountains for a styled-shoot at sunset!
Everything you photograph during the workshop is 100% yours to use in marketing yourself and growing your business. We want you to succeed!
Your ticket includes a full-day of teaching with Mark and Tracey who will cover a variety of topics. From business and marketing tips, to posing and client experience you will get practical, real-world advice that will help you start growing your business immediately.
The ticket also includes a styled shoot at sunset the evening of the workshop, where you can shoot alongside us, get coaching and immediate feedback to build your portfolio so you can start booking more of the clients you want.
No, food and lodging are not included in the ticket price. But, we will have coffee and light snacks to keep you going throughout the day. There are a number of restaurant options nearby for you to grab something during the lunch and dinner breaks and Canmore offers great hotel and Air BnB options for accommodations.
We suggest you bring all of the camera gear you usually shoot with as well as a notepad and pen or laptop to take notes. There will be a portion covering editing, so if you work from a laptop and want to follow along you're more than welcome to.
Also, bring a jacket and appropriate outerwear/footwear since we will be heading outside for the styled shoot later in the evening rain or shine.
This photography workshop is designed for anyone who wants to take their business to the next level. If you're just starting out, or even if you have a few years of experience under your belt, we believe that we can help you book more clients and feel more confident behind the camera.
Photography Workshop tickets are non-refundable. But, they are transferable.
We believe in minimalistic styling for these shoots. They will be charming and beautiful, but focused on the couple you're photographing. We want to concentrate on helping you to create authentic reactions, moments and movement in your posing, while allowing the natural surroundings and beautiful scenery of the Rocky Mountains to come through in your images.
The cost of the One-Day Photography Workshop is $900. You can pay it all right away, or pay half now and the remainder the month before the workshop starts!

We believe that you learn best in smaller, intimate group settings. For that reason we've capped each of our one-day workshops to a maximum of 12 attendees. This will ensure we have lots of time to spend getting to know each one of you and answering all of your questions.
* Note: The optional adventure elopement shoot/hike on Saturday, September 26th is limited to 6 attendees to ensure each shooter can maximize their time while we're on the mountain shooting.

Mark and Tracey have been photographing weddings together for eight-years and have a passion for helping up-and-coming photographers gain the confidence and skill required to take their business to the next level. I first heard about Crown Photography from my now future sister-in-law, who had Mark and Tracey capture their wedding day back in 2016. I quickly looked them up because she could not stop raving about how amazing they are. I instantly fell in-love with their work, every moment looked so authentic. While aspiring to be like Mark and Tracey one day, I stumbled upon a workshop they had hosted in drumheller in 2018, as I am looking into it more, they had announced they were hosting another one in the Rockies for May of 2019. Once the workshop came, I was blown away with Mark and Tracey. They were very knowledgeable about every aspect of the wedding photography industry.
