Alex and Becca
We met Alex and Becca outside of the Art Gallery of Alberta in Downtown Edmonton just as a storm was clearing and the sun was popping back out through the clouds.
She was beaming and full of excitement. He was nervous, unsure of what the session (or the photographers for that matter) would be like. But Alex was there, and it was clear that he would do anything for Becca. With that kind of commitment, it wasn’t long before we were all laughing together and having a blast exploring the city!
It’s always such an honour when couples trust us to create for them. We know that it can feel uncomfortable when you first step in front of a camera, so we work hard to try and help our couples enjoy the experience (after all, if you don’t enjoy the experience of having your photo taken, how could you enjoy the memories of the photo?).
These two were a ton of fun. After we walked around the downtown we headed for the river valley and they changed into their Blue Jays jersey’s before cracking a drink and celebrating their engagement.
Did you notice that it’s not a domestic beer? Chang, is a beer from Thailand, where Alex and Becca first met, and where he later proposed!
There is a great story to go along with their proposal too. He forgot the ring! Thankfully a good friend had just bought an elephant ring while in Thailand and gave it to Alex to use for the proposal. Becca said yes and he later gave her the ring he’d purchased for her. But, their friend let them keep the elephant ring too, and so now Becca wears them both (The elephant ring is on her thumb in the feature image at the top of the post).
We can’t wait for their wedding next year!
Congrats you too, we’re looking forward to our next adventure together.
