[dropcap style=”dropcap3″]W[/dropcap]hen Kelly and Luke welcomed their little bundle of joy into the world last week they couldn’t have been more proud. We met up with them to photograph their little girl Emmersyn and got a first hand look at why they can’t stop beaming, what a beautiful little girl!
From the moment we walked in we knew this shoot was going to be special. We could tell Kelly knew what she was doing because she had the house nice and warm so that her little girl would be comfortable, all we had to do was drop our bags, set up our lights and get to work.

Some newborns can be notorious for staying awake as long as possible when your trying to settle them down for a photograph, but Emmersyn went right to sleep for us, what a treat!
Here is one of our favorite images from the session (to be honest it was hard to choose, we have lots of favorites).
About half way through the session and just as we were about to start photographing Emmersyn in a small apple basket we had brought along, her grandmother showed up with a beautiful blanket (it was a present). Perfect timing! We used it inside the apple basket for the photos and loved how they turned out.
Here you can see how perfect the blanket looks. We hope that one day when Emmersyn grows up she can look back on this picture and remember the blanket her grandma gave her.

Of course these sessions wouldn’t be possible without the caring touch of my dear wife. Tracey took the chance to steal a few cuddles with Emmersyn while she was getting her ready for one of the photos, and Tracey’s cautious hands are never too far away, just to make sure that everyone stays safe.
There are so many beautiful photographs from this session and we’d love to show you all of them, but instead here are just a few.
Happy Monday, spring has clearly sprung and I hope you’re taking advantage of it!
Until Wednesday, enjoy the sunshine.
