When Becky first contacted us about their wedding day and told us how she planned to have their January wedding ceremony in an old barn loft, we were curious about how warm it would be, but also thrilled that this couple wasn’t afraid to create their vision when the winter elements can sometimes force compromise.
The day was -25 and yet the barn loft was so warm the first thing we did when we entered was take off our coats! A huge “well-done” to everyone who was manning the doors for not letting the heat escape and keeping it toasty warm. It was the perfect country venue for these two, everything they built into the day was so personal and beautiful from the floral adorned cattle skull, the dream catcher inspired chandelier, stopping to visit their pigs and horses and the assortment of borrowed Mexican blankets used to cover the hay bales, it was easy for us to connect together the parts of their day to them as a couple. We did freeze a little with the outside photos but when the frost is growing off the trees and it looks like a perfect winter wonderland it would have been such a waste not to embrace all of that beautiful winter background!
We enjoyed every minute of this day, Scott and Becky laughed and smiled the whole time and their family and friends were so much fun to work with and photograph.
