A fun grad portrait session on a stormy day
In June I had the chance to head back to BC to visit with family and friends. I also had the privilege to photograph a beautiful young woman in celebration of her graduation.
The first time I photographed Nicole was four years ago when I was just getting into photography. She has been a willing model for me ever since and I was so glad we were able to make this session work when I was back in Salmon Arm.
The weather looked like it could drown us out at any minute, but other then a few lighting bolts and a light drizzle we were able to work with Mother Nature and get some beautiful photo memories of Nicole in her grad gown.
With Nicole’s choice of foot wear we didn’t have to worry about high heels so we were able to get creative in fields, hike in the mountain and even climb a few rocks.
She explained to me during the session the rubber boots had landed her with the nickname “boots” and she would indeed be wearing them to her prom in a few weeks time.
Today is that day.
Nicole, you’re graduating from high school! You are a beautiful girl with a continuous smile and a happy heart. I’m so thankful to have the chance to be part of your life.
With love and prayers Tracey Crown
