We had the pleasure of photographing Lindsay and Matthew’s wedding last month and couldn’t have enjoyed it more. These two were so laid back and fun to spend time with that it made the day fly by.
Matthew farms with his Dad and so it was important to the couple that we spend some time photographing them in the midst of their farmyard (what a blast!), the only problem was the snow was melting fast and that left a lot of mud. To this day I still can’t believe that Lindsay managed to complete the entire portrait session without getting any mud on her dress (props to her amazing bridesmaids, who followed her everywhere and put paper-towel down to make sure of it).
One of the places that we really wanted to photograph was with the wedding party on the grain bin ladder. The only problem was the entire grain bin was surrounded in the kind of mud that steals your shoes, we’re talking up to your ankles deep! But thanks to some quick thinking (and some help from Matthew’s dad) we piled into the box of his truck and he backed us all up to the grain bin and helped the entire wedding party get unloaded.
The photos turned out amazing and we had a great time taking the pictures too.
From start to finish this really was a beautiful day. Congratulations to Lindsay and Matthew, and thank you for letting us be a part of your story!
