This was one of the least conventional weddings we’ve ever been to and we loved every minute of it!!!
The Nathan and Naomi planned a morning ceremony and an afternoon reception at the Bailey Theatre. Once they were done the reception they took some time to refresh their outfits (and touch up the girls make up) before heading out for evening portraits (que the envious stare of photographers everywhere!).
Why did we like this so much? Well, because it meant that Naomi and Nathan’s romantic portraits happened as sunset. If you’ve followed our work for some time you’ll know that we love sunset (and really photographing in any beautiful light). It is just so flattering! It also made the day significantly less stressful, because once we left from the reception, the responsibilities of the day for the bride and groom were done. They could just enjoy their portraits without worrying about where they had to be next, or if they were going to be late for the reception.
Needless to say, we took advantage of the chance to shoot at sunset!
Here are a few of the images from the day.
