Rocky Mountain House Wedding: Derrick and Kim
March 7, 2017

Derrick and Kim’s Rocky Mountain House wedding was absolutely perfect. The couple was married at the Prairie Creek Inn and shared their intimate ceremony with 35 friends and family members. Falling snow added the perfect finishing touch!

I can’t say enough good things about Derrick and Kim. They are just perfect for each other. Seeing Kim light up every time she looked at Derrick, and watching how gentle and loving he is towards her. What a couple. Getting to know you both has been a pleasure and we’re so thankful to have been included in your day.

Tracey and I were also excited for this day because we got to do both photography and video. Whenever we do a film alongside the photographs Tracey is the photographer for the day and I shoot all of the video. It gives us a unique ability to capture the day in two completely different ways and we love the chance to tell the story using both photos and video.

The Prairie Creek Inn

The Prairie Creek Inn is located about 20 kms south of Rocky Mountain House. As you turn in from the roadway you travel down this amazing driveway lined with evergreens, it feels like you’re in the middle of a fairytale. The luxury suits and cottages are all breathtakingly beautiful, with log-home features and modern bedrooms. The dinner we had at the Heartstone Restaurant was delicious as well.
They specialize in small, intimate Rocky Mountain House wedding gatherings and we were so impressed with the Inn that we can’t wait to go back!
Derrick and Kim were so excited to tell us all about the Inn and when we got there, we could see why. It was the perfect place for their wedding. An amazing setting.

Here is a gallery that includes a few of our favorite photographs from the day. There are so many it was hard to choose!
Congratulations Derrick and Kim. Wishing you years of happiness and joy as you start this new chapter in your lives together.
