This day started off with a bang! Actually, with quite a few of them as Cody and his groomsmen enjoyed a little bit of skeet shooting before getting ready for the wedding.
Stacey and her bridesmaids elected to go with a little more traditional route of champagne and orange juice in the morning.
Their wedding took place at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Camrose. Among close friends and family it was a touching ceremony that showed just how much they love each other.
We were honoured to be part of such a beautiful day and had so much fun with this awesome wedding party! They were great, and even thought ahead to ask us which way they should face the hay bails they wanted to use for photographs (they were thinking about the light, just like a photographer!).
The reception site was decorated beautifully, the cakes were amazing (and we love LOVE the Norwegian tradition of lifting the rings of the cake to see how many children the couple is supposed to have).
We finished the evening in a field just after sunset. The light was amazing, the couple was beautiful. The only problem is, there was a lot of mosquitos! But Stacey and Cody fought through the bugs and had such a great attitude about it. We have to say it really paid off as those evening photographs are some of our favourite of the summer!
Congratulations to Cody and Stacey. We wish you all the best as your start your new life together.
