[dropcap style=”dropcap3″]A[/dropcap] hot spring afternoon on a farm just outside of Ohaton was the perfect setting for us to capture Wendy and Brad’s engagement photos.
The couple will be getting married on the farm in July and thought it would be nice to have their engagement session in the same location as the wedding. We couldn’t have agreed more. The rustic farm buildings, quaint little cottages and beautiful Alberta fields were a fitting backdrop for this stunning couple.
Though they now live in the Northwest Territories, Wendy spent a lot of time growing up on this farm as a child and it was a lot of fun to hear her stories as she recounted fond memories while we posed them in different locations around the farm.

Brad is pilot and flies small planes to some communities that don’t have road access, but he also seemed to have an affinity for the rustic old cars that were parked around the farm. We liked them too.
Here you can see Tracey posing the couple near one of the cars, and we just couldn’t resist taking at least a few frames with them standing beside the old Imperial.

When Tracey and I were dreaming about starting our photography business we always knew that we wanted two primary shooters for weddings and engagements. It allows one of us to capture candid moments while the other is posing, photographing or interacting with the couple.
This shoot just drove home why we love shooting together. Often times our favourite images end up being from the camera that nobody is paying attention to. Here’s a couple of examples.

It was great to spend a couple of hours with Wendy and Brad and we cannot wait for the wedding in July!
We’ll leave you with a few more photos.
